GEO–OASIS explored the former Shiroyama quarry through geology, field observation, photography, sound, frottage, cyanotype, and artistic experimentation. Participants encountered the quarry not only as a landscape shaped by extraction and natural recovery, but as a place where geological history, human activity, ecology, and future possibilities intersect.

The program moved between observing the site and experimenting with ways to experience and communicate it. Field discoveries were translated into photographs, sound, cyanotypes, frottage, and other forms of documentation, creating different ways of seeing and reconsidering the quarry landscape.

A public Violin Projection mini-concert temporarily transformed the quarry into a setting for artistic expression, allowing people to experience directly how the site might take on a new cultural role. Documentation and observations from the project were subsequently shared through an exhibition and with the Mayor’s Office, extending reflection on the quarry’s future into public and civic dialogue.
