CAMINANTES

Caminantes（カミナンテス） は、二人が一本の糸巻きを両端から担ぎ、歩きながら糸をほどき、最後に起点へと巻き戻す——最小の行為からなるパフォーマンスです。出発点は、愛知・美浜の 山の広場 での16年。音楽とダンスで開場を祝ったのちに訪れた静かな空白に
向き合うため、私たちは知多半島の「オレンジライン」を歩き始めました。線は道となり、場所を縫い合わせ、時間を可視化します。終わりに糸を巻き戻す所作は、痕跡を残さず通り過ぎ、元の風景にスペースを返すという在り方を示します。
本展のテーマであるソラスタルジア（環境変化と「故郷感」の喪失による心的苦痛）の文脈において、Caminantes は場所との関係を結び直すための私たちの実践です。糸を携えて共に歩くことで、風景が変わり続けても、私たちはその場所との関係性を保ち続けることができます。
本映像は制作中のダイジェストで、日本（鳥取・大分県姫島村）、アメリカ（ヒューストン・サンフランシスコ）、ドイツ（ベルリン・バルト海）での実践の一端を紹介します。
CAMINANTES
2019 ~ 2025
CAMINANTES is a performance composed of a minimal act: two people carry a single spool of thread from both ends, unwinding it as they walk, and finally rewinding it to the point of departure.
The project began after sixteen years of work at The Mountain Plaza in Mihama. Following the celebration of its completion with music and dance, we started walking along the “Orange Line” of the Chita Peninsula to face the quiet interval that followed.
The line becomes a path—stitching places together and making time visible. The gesture of rewinding the thread at the end embodies a way of passing through without leaving traces, returning space to its original landscape.
Within the theme of solastalgia—distress from environmental change and the erosion of one’s sense of home—CAMINANTES is our way to connect and reconnect with place. By walking the thread together, we remain in relation to place even as its landscapes change.
This video is a digest in progress, introducing parts of our ongoing practices in Japan (Tottori; Himeshima Village, Oita), the United States (Houston; San Francisco), and Germany (Berlin; the Baltic Sea).
