Shiroyama Labyrinth is a long-term artistic proposal to reimagine Himeshima’s former limestone quarry as a living landscape for art, ecology, memory, and community dialogue. Since 2019, Elgueda Ward Studio and The Creative Culture Institute have continued fieldwork, workshops, and conversations with island residents, local collaborators, and village representatives. The project is currently in the proposal and dialogue phase, and is being developed through listening, environmental care, and shared imagination.
城山ラビリンスは、姫島の旧石灰石採石場を、芸術・環境・記憶・地域との対話のための「生きた風景」として再解釈する長期的な芸術構想です。2019年より、エルゲダ・ウォード・スタジオと The Creative Culture Institute は、現地調査、ワークショップ、島民の方々、地域協力者、行政関係者との対話を重ねてきました。本プロジェクトは現在、構想・対話の段階にあり、聴くこと、環境への配慮、共有された想像力を通して、少しずつ育てている提案です。
